Two Rivers Soccer Camp wants to thank you for registering for camp this summer! We hope that this will be a memorable and exciting experience for you! The information below is VERY IMPORTANT, so please read it thoroughly. A camp director is available at (408) 867-4994 or after June 1 at (530) 836-2869 for further questions. |
|
| Registration: (Check in at campsite) |
4:00-5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Camp Office If parents and campers arrive early, the parents must be responsible for their camper until 4:00 p.m., the official check in time. If there is a necessity on the day of registration for parents to leave the camper and depart prior to the designated check in time, we will accept campers as early as 2:00p.m. There will be a $50 additional charge. These arrangements must be made in advance. |
| Camp Ends: | Final games begin 9:30 a.m. on Saturday with Closing Ceremonies beginning at approximately 11:00 a.m. There is a barbecue / picnic lunch held on the last day of each session beginning at 12:00 noon. Please see the enclosed information detailing the picnic. |
Camp Address:
Camper’s Name
c/o Two Rivers Soccer Camp P.O. Box 297 Graeagle, CA. 96103 **No food or confection packages allowed! Please do not send packages to campers. |
|
| Stayovers: | Campers staying for consecutive weeks are fully supervised during the weekend and will participate in a variety of activities. There is no extra fee for the extra day between sessions for those campers enrolled in multiple sessions. Counselors will assist with coin-operated washers and dryers for camper laundry. Money for laundry will be taken out of the campers snack shop account. |
| Camp Phone: | (530) 836-2869 – We will have someone on phone duty from 8:00a.m.until 5:00 p.m. daily. An answering machine may pick up calls thereafter. Unless there is an emergency, the camper will return your call at the next meal or rest period. To assist campers in gaining a level of self discipline and responsibility for adapting to being away from home, we discourage campers from calling home or friends within the first 3 days of camp unless it is an emergency. If the camper has traveled a long distance and the parent requests a call upon their arrival at camp we will accommodate. Please do not use the fax or email as a means of personal communication with your camper. We must use the Two Rivers fax and email to serve as a quick delivery for business information. There are many benefits to be gained from this “away-from-home” experience, including a measure of self-reliance and independence. |
| Health & Safety: | Health services include a camp staff member trained in first aid and CPR. If injuries or illness of any significance should develop, we will immediately transport the camper to the local General Hospital for attention. Drugs, alcoholic beverages and cigarettes are strictly forbidden and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for immediate dismissal from camp without refund or credit. Willful destruction by a camper to any camp facilities will result in the financial responsibility of the parent |
| Payments: | Full payment of camp fees must be received no later than May 1st. Those who register and pay in full prior to March 1st will receive our “early registration discount” + a free Two Rivers sweatshirt! Only one type of discount can be applied to each camper. You will receive an immediate confirmation when you register on-line. Group / team discounts are available for groups of 8 or more. Information and registration procedures for a group are located on the home page of our web-site under “Group and Team Discounts.” |
| Cancellations / Refunds: | Refund insurance can be purchased at the time of your initial registration. With the purchase of refund insurance you can receive a full refund in the event that you need to cancel prior to June 1. Refund insurance may be purchased for each enrolled session. Cancellations after June 1 and prior to two weeks of your scheduled camp session will receive a credit for next summer. Credits must be used the following summer or else they expire! Cancellations within two weeks of your camp date will not receive a refund or credit (no exceptions)! There are no refunds for rare cases of homesickness, absence, withdrawal or dismissal from camp. Please refer to our successful away from home experience guide for helpful tips. |
| Roommates: | Campers’ roommates are assigned by gender, age and roommate requests. If you have a roommate request, and have not already given it to us, please do so no later than 10 days prior to the start of camp. After that, the request cannot be guaranteed. Roommate requests can be made on-line at the time of registration. If you don’t have a roommate request, you will be lodged with a group your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet new friends who share a common interest…that is one of the benefits of camp. Roommate requests are granted when possible but please understand that not all requests can be granted. |
| Homesickness: | Missing home is a normal part of growing up. We work very hard with those campers who may be experiencing signs of homesickness. We tell our campers it is very normal to miss home and that it is OK to feel that way but also not to dwell on their sad feelings. We help them by encouraging them to stay positive, stay busy and make their families proud. It is our goal to encourage them to make it through the week and fulfill their commitment. Periodically a camper will be experiencing a more sever case of homesickness and after 24 hours we will contact the family and work together on a possible solution. Do Not Tell Your Camper prior to coming to camp that if he or she is not happy that you will come get them or that they can come home. Having an “out” often sets the camper up to fail. It is hard for the administration to help the child who has already given up because their parents said they would come pick them up if things feel uncomfortable. Working on completing a successful week is a much better goal and strategy! |
